From a humble beginning in 1974, it started as a small workshop with meager resources and staff. Now, it has grown by leaps and bounds as a leading agricultural machinery manufacturer in the Philippines.

The company saga began when consultants close to the Tin family assist them to design a prototype power tiller.

The first machines were sold under the band name "LAKAS KULIGLIG" named after a local bug popular because of its strong sound familiar among farmers. The brand name "LAKAS KULIGLIG" not only had recall; it also answered the farmers constant quest for a bountiful harvest, courtesy of farm equipment that was easy to operate. The power tiller's capability were improved on a refined, until it achieved a level of perfection that was a boon to an increasing number of users.

P.I. Farm Producs Incorporated has sold over 30,000 units of hand tractors, over 15,000 units of palay threshers, over 500 unit of corn shellers, and over 300 units of mobile flash dryers, rice mills and other farm equipment, proof of the company's reliability and acceptability in the agro-industrial sector, including it's competitors.

Within the last four years, P.I. Farm Products Incorporated garnered top manufacturing awards from the Bureau of Postharvest Research and Extension [BPRE] to wit:

The company now boasts of its own factory and business sales offices located in a sprawling in Sto. Rosario, Maisan, Valenzuela City.

Furthermore, it had fifteen branches at the start and presently more than sixty (60) dealers nationwide.

"LAKAS KULIGLIG" has reached the hinterlands of Mindanao where it has not only replaced carabaos, but alaso arms and ammunitions. It is known to have helped the government lure rebels back to the mainstream of Filipino life through the policy of attraction implemented through the Farm Mechanization Program hosted by local government units.
